CONSTRUCTING A RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ECOSYSTEM IN THE PGZ CAPITAL GROUP, ARKADIUSZ STYPA KAROLINA BADOWSKA MATEUSZ ROSZKIEWICZ

Abstract. The article presents the paths of organizational work leading to the construction of a strong ecosystem in the area of research and development at the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ - Polish Armaments Group). The tasks of the Innovation Policy implemented within the Group companies on the initiative of the Department of Innovation and Technological Development (DIRT) are discussed. The importance of the proposed model of an integrated R&D management system, supposed to result in increasing the competitiveness of the companies, is emphasized.

TRENDS IN THE MODERNIZATION OF ARMOURED WEAPONS. THE PT-91M2 TANK, SANDRA WILCZEK, LESZEK NOWAK, DARIUSZ RZEPKA, MARCIN DUSZAK

Abstract. The article describes the project to modernize the tanks of the T-72 series, presented for the first time at the International Defence Industry Exhibition - Kielce 2017 (MSPO 2017). The specifications of the proposed versions of the modernization of the T-72 tank are referred to and compared with those of other types of tanks (T-72B3, M1A2 ABRAMS). The article presents mainly a technical approach: extensive technical analyzes of the parameters of the offered package in comparison to those of key MBTs. In conclusions, reference is made to essential considerations in favour of the implementation of the industrial manufacture of the presented modernized version of the PT-91M2.

SUPPORT BRIDGES PART 2. ASIAN SUPPORT BRIDGES WITH A SPAN OF 40 M, ZBIGNIEW KAMYK

Abstract. The article presents Asian bridges designed to act as support bridges, which can also serve as line-of-communication bridges or be used in crisis situations. The designs presented enable construction of bridges with a span of at least 40 m for loads of tracked main battle tanks (MBT) of the individual states. Tactical and technical specifications of the individual designs are presented. Material and structural solutions of the main components and the applied bridge assembly technologies are described.

MODIFIED ALGORITHM OF AUTOMATIC LAUNCHING OF THE MG-20 BRIDGE SPAN, BŁAŻEJ BARAŃSKI

Abstract. The MG-20 assault bridge has three modes of launching over an obstacle: emergency, manual and automatic. The article discusses the results of the changes made in the existing algorithm of the operation of the control system supervising the process of automatic launching of the MG-20 bridge span over an obstacle. The reasons of modifying the current algorithm are described. Modifications were made in the sensor system to enable control of additional parameters. Charts show the individual stages of span launching depicted on the display panel. The results obtained and advantages of the modifications are summarized in conclusions.

MILITARY VEHICLE SURVIVABILITY IN THE CONTEMPORARY BATTLEFIELD, TOMASZ SMAL

Abstract. The article presents technical solutions that enhance the survivability of military vehicles and crew protection, as well as analysis of the latest solutions and trends in this field. Particular attention is given to threats that emerged during recent military operations, which is why the scope of considerations is limited to wheeled armoured vehicles that were used in these operations. Modern solutions and trends in the construction of this type of armoured vehicles are also analyzed. NATO directives on ballistic protection of vehicles are also referred to, and trends in the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces' armaments are presented in the perspective of recent military operations abroad.

ANALYSIS OF THE POLISH COPYRIGHT LAW AND RELATED LAWS, MAGDALENIA ŚLUSARCZYK

Abstract. The article discusses issues of copyright and related rights in the light of the provisions that are in force in Poland. The concepts of 'work' and 'creator' are presented, and attention is called to abuses related to attributing authorship of someone else's work. The topic of disposing of the rights to a work created under an employment relationship and the issue of contracts concluded are discussed. The problem of intellectual property rights in projects carried out for the Ministry of National Defence is also raised.
