LEOPARD 2PL - POLISH MODERNIZATION, SANDRA WILCZEK, LESZEK NOWAK, DARIUSZ RZEPKA

Abstract. The article describes the currently implemented project of upgrading the LEOPARD 2A4 tanks to the LEOPARD 2PL version. Initial design phases, technical analysis and the final implementation option are presented. The impact of the project on the acquisition of new competencies by the companies of the PGZ S.A. group is shown, especially the unique qualifications of Zakłady Mechaniczne "BUMAR-ŁABĘDY" S.A. Technical and marketing approach to the upgrade and offer preparation process are taken into account.

LEOPARD 2A4 TANK DRIVING SIMULATOR PART 2. VISUALIZATION SYSTEM, TOMASZ STROJECKI, ALEKSANDER WERNER’ JACEK WIELICKI, GRZEGORZ WYSZKOWSKI

Abstract. The article presents a display system developed at OBRUM for the LEOPARD 2A4 tank driving simulator (codenamed SJCL-6P). The solutions adopted in the design compliant with client's technical requirements are discussed. The analyzes presented take into account the current state of the art. The choice of solutions used in the most important structural units, including the vision system and auxiliary tools, is explained. The summary highlights the distinguishing features of SJCL-6P among the training equipment used.

ELEMENTS OF INDUSTRY 4.0 IN OBRUM'S ACTIVITIES, MICHAŁ MRÓZ EMIL PELLA MAREK Ł. GRABANIA

Abstract. This article discusses some new challenges posed by the ongoing fourth industrial revolution. The technological areas that make up Industry 4.0 are shown. One of these areas of technology, 3D printing, which is one of the dynamically developing pillars of Industry 4.0, is synthetically described. Examples are given and described of components made in 3D printing technology in the course of OBRUM's completed projects. The importance of the issues and necessary changes in the Polish industry and education system is accentuated in the summary.

Abstract. The article presents the requirements set for professionals employed in industry as a result of the changes related to the implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept. The challenges and necessary new competencies of specialists are described. The current model of vocational education in Poland is referred to. Some selected offers of specialist education in universities are presented. Polish initiatives are also discussed, aimed at familiarizing and facilitating entrepreneurs to implement new technological areas that form the basic structures of Industry 4.0.

CAVE 3D PROJECTION SYSTEM IN THE PROCESS OF PRODUCT DESIGNING, STANISŁAW TOMASZEWSKI ŁUKASZ RADWAN MAREK Ł. GRABANIA

Abstract. The article presents changes taking place over the years in the organization of the preparation of technical and construction documentation. A modern CAVE 3D projection system, implemented at OBRUM for supporting design processes, is discussed. The principle of system operation, its characteristic features and limitations are described. The summary emphasizes the advantages of the system that enable elimination of errors and direct contact with the customer at the stage of creating a conceptual design of a device or of product design to be submitted for approval.
