EVOLUTION OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, MICHAŁ MUZYKA

Abstract. The article presents the process of adapting the ISO 9001 standard to the changing environment. The course of changes in the Quality Management System implemented for use at OBRUM is described. The revised ISO 9001 standard has also been analyzed: 2008. The scope of introduced changes and differences between ISO 9001: 2008 and the revised ISO 9001:2015-10 are presented in detail.

SUPPORT BRIDGES, PART 1 - EUROPEAN SUPPORT BRIDGES WITH A SPAN OF 40 M, ZBIGNIEW KAMYK

Abstract. The article presents European bridges designed to act as support bridges, which can also serve as line-of-communication bridges. The designs presented enable construction of bridges with a span of at least 40 m for MLC 70 class tracked loads. Tactical and technical specifications of the individual designs are presented. Particular attention is paid to the construction materials for essential components, structural design, assembly process, logistic systems of transport and deployment.

TESTING A FINAL DRIVE FOR A TRACKED VEHICLE, KRZYSZTOF SKOWRON, MARCIN DUSZAK, TOMASZ WRÓBEL

Abstract. The final stage of the design process of final drives of tracked vehicles comprise bench tests that reflect the actual operating conditions. During the tests the set parameters (torque M and rotational speed n) are similar to the parameters resulting from the conditions of vehicle use. The paper presents research methodology, verification and evaluation of the wear of components, which provide a basis for making the necessary structural changes in final drive (transmission) components. In addition, a schematic diagram of the verification test stand is presented and the obtained test results are discussed.

ALGORITHMS APPLIED IN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE SYSTEMS, MICHAŁ BUGAŁA

Abstract. Many research centres in the world that deal with the problems of the manufacture of land vehicles, especially those intended for transport and communication in urban traffic, are still working on the development of a vehicle equipped with systems that do not require human participation in the process of driving a vehicle. The goals to be pursued are to ensure maximum safety (minimize accidents involving people) and to optimize transport costs (eliminating the driver from the vehicle, optimal route selection). This article, which is the result of broad studies conducted at OBRUM, discusses the development paths of autonomous vehicles and key algorithms of autonomous vehicles described in detail in the literature cited. The presented results constitute a starting point for further work on an autonomous vehicle to be carried out at OBRUM.

CRIO-9022 AND MYRIO-1900 CONTROLLER OUTPUT STATE CHANGE RATES, TOMASZ MAKOWSKI, JAROSŁAW DOMIN

Abstract. The article compares some selected parameters of the cRIO-9022 (industrial controller) and myRIO-1900 (student device) from the point of view of their possible use in the electromagnetic launcher control system. The results of laboratory tests aimed at comparing the rise and fall time of the signal edge at the digital output for both controllers are presented. The study was conducted to assess the interchangeability of both controllers in the control system of a hybrid electromagnetic launcher with pneumatic assist.

SPECIFIC NATURE OF EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT IN COMPANIES OF THE ARMS INDUSTRY, MAREK GROCHOWSKI

Abstract. The article presents selected problems of recruitment of employees on the labour market, where Zakłady Mechaniczne "Bumar-Łabędy" S.A. and OBRUM operate. The local environment is described, the Gliwice labour market including, among others, companies operating in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ). An attempt was made to carry out a sociological analysis of the recruitment taking the examples of the companies mentioned. The considerations of employment level resulting from the necessary changes in organizational structures are presented. The methods of staff selection applied in practice are synthetically discussed. The summary refers to the role of management boards in employment policy and the requirement of cooperation on a partnership basis with the HR department and raising it to the rank of a strategic department, as well as implementing all available forms of employment into practice.
